Using Advance Layer Mask In Adobe

Here come new layer mask tutorial in advance layer masking in adobe photo shop Cs3. Many many beginners have in minds where to use layer mask and how is in this tut i will explore the basic or advance all expect of using layer mask.

So lets start........ See Our Final Result After Tut Is Complete.

1. First Create a new canvas about ( 300x300 ) 72 dpi. Select Rectangular Marque tool (M) in the option bar i we highlighted red in the Styles Drop down choose Fixed Size and enter

width 125px in height 200px. Then Clicking on the canvas you will notice it will automatically create a long box selection what you enter in the optionbar boxes. Then Create a new layer clicking bottom of the layer palette. Fill with selection red color of it like shown below.

2. Hit ( Ctrl + T ) on the key board it will bring up little box around our object in the option bar i highlighted it red angle field enter ( -20 ) to rotate it like shown below.


3. Create another layer and do same above steps or hitting ( Ctrl + J ) to duplicate the current layer and flip it Horizontally by going Edit >> Transform >> Flip Horizontal. Now you have to complete the actual frame now add some picture of it.


4. Open any two picture you have in my case i am open the anglina julies Pic on the Internet.

5. Select First image hit Ctrl + A to select hole picture close it by clicking upper right (X).

6. Now Select the top layer in the layer palette holding Ctrl Click once on its thumb to bring the selection of that layer see the picture below.

7. After you load the selection first layer go to the Edit >> Paste Into it will create a new layer automatically and apply the layer mask auto see the picture below for better understanding.

8. Clicking other layer by holding Ctrl to bring his selection then the same process copy the second image close it then go Edit >> Paste Into now you have done this but the problem is if the picture is big how to adjust it click the masked layer picture thumb then hit ( Ctrl + T ) to bring transformer control holding shift key pick any one corner to bring it in and in to reduce the size of it and setting it like shown below.

9. Selecting the Layer 1 Copy on the layer palette highlighted on Green. Double clicking of it to bring layer style dialog box apply Drop Shadow for these settings.

10. Apply also Stoke of like that settings.

11. Copy layer style by right clicking on the layer and choose Copy Layer Style. It will copy the all style we apply this layer.

12. Right Clicking (Layer 1) and choose Paste Layer Style it will paste the layer style previously.

Finally Draw some background effect to it our frame image looks like this.

Using Layer Mask In Adobe

Here we have to learn how to use layer masking adobe photoshop cs3.
In this tut i will show you the actual way how to use it in very step by step tut.

Lets start..... First See Final of our tutor


1. First Create a new document in about 300 x 200 px with white background.
2. Using Type tool Inter some text on the canvas to begin learn layer masking. Copy my setting like the picture below.

3. The text layer will create then clicking in the lower area of the layer palette say Add a Mask.
you will notice a white little square is created next to the type layer with a chain link. It is actually a layer mask to apply default show all.

4. Now with still if your not click any where after the mask created it is still be selected. If not clicking it once to select the layer mask then selecting the gradient tool (G) in the toolbar. When you selecting the gradient tool the option bar updated to new information about gradient tool every time you select the tool it will change according to selected tool. In this case select the Gradient black to white with Liner mode. Draw it once clicking on the picture below hold down left mouse button drag over the canvas left to right. You will be notice in the layer palette the white area and the black area the black goes hide the text and white show the text mask.

5. Once again select the mask layer then select brush tool ( B ) then any size you like with 100% opacity 100% flow and make sure foreground color is white draw over the text you will be notice the text will appear if you paint it white it will show us the text if you paint it with black it will hide the area we painted. Play it more for better understanding.

6. Remove the mask by clicking on the mask box with left mouse button still hold and drag it to the lower corner of the layer palette say Basket to remove the layer mask.

7. When you drag the layer mask to the basket it will give to warn us to delete layer mask?
Hit Delete button to delete the layer mask.

8. Now duplicate the text layer by hitting ( Ctrl + J ) or drag over the new layer icon to bottom of the layer palette Flip it Vertically by going to Edit >> Transform >> Flip Vertically and adjust it to lower the text using Move tool (M). Like shown below

9. In the same step we discuss above add a layer mask to the duplicated layer and apply the mask box a gradient black to white but this time top to bottom see the picture below for better understanding.

10. Finally apply background layer a gradient from blue to white top to bottom and the flipped layer opacity to 30% the result should like this.

And here is the final of our process.

Removing Red Eye In Adobe

Here come a new tut of adobe photoshop cs3.

How to remove red eye of your photos very easy way step by step tut in Adobe Photo shop cs3.

First of all see the final of this tut below.



1. In the toolbar select the quick mask tool very bottom of toolbar. Then Brush tool and setting up it like shown below and select the eye both in little brush size selected.

2. Go to the Image>> Adjustment>> Desaturate to get out of the red color of eye.

3. You see the picture of below after clicking mask mode it will bring us the selection inverted.

4. So Select the menu Select>> Inverse to inverse the selection what i want for our eye only.

5. Go to the Image>> adjustments>> Levels (Ctrl + L) to adjust the black and whiteness.

6. Setting up the Levels Dialog box like the screen shoot of below.
